Burn Permits

Know the rules before you burn. Stay safe and protect our community.

Current Burning Status
Fire Danger: LOWBurning is currently ALLOWED

BURNING is currently ALLOWED. After May 10th, you will need to pull a burn permit. Remember that you always burn at your own risk and continue to use extreme caution when burning.

When is a Burn Permit Required?

A burn permit is required after May 10th through October 20th. Outside of this window, burning may still be subject to current fire restrictions and air quality conditions. Always check conditions before burning.

What is ALWAYS Illegal to Burn
  • Garbage and household waste
  • Tires and rubber products
  • Plastics and synthetic materials
  • Treated or painted wood
  • Construction debris
Burning Guidelines
  • Maintain a clear area around the burn
  • Have water and a shovel readily available
  • Never leave a fire unattended
  • Do not burn in windy conditions
  • Ensure the fire is completely out before leaving
